"We are a couple of 67-year-old beginner kayak enthusiasts. We saw the advertisement for kayak tours on the billboard while passing Lake Point State
Park in Eufaula and immediately went online and signed up for the beginner-guided tour. We selected the 3-mile trip on a tandem kayak. When we arrived,
we received an introductory safety class from Rick, one of our tour guides, and a bit of the history of Eufaula and the lake area. We had two guides, Rick and LeAnn.
They were great. The kayak course was beautiful and well-marked, with interesting plant life, turtles on stumps and logs, and many birds, including herons,
Osprey, red-winged blackbirds, Hawks, crows, and mockingbirds. Yes, we saw several alligators. It's not like a Tarzan movie. They don't see the kayak and come into
the water after you. Just the opposite. They want as much to do with you as you want with them. The guide stays very aware of the surroundings. They point out
gators when they're seen and keep you out of areas where you might disturb the wildlife. Once you realize they're not interested in you, you can paddle along and
enjoy a truly beautiful experience with nature. We would strongly recommend the guided tour to anyone interested in seeing the natural beauty that exists around
this incredible lake. Thanks again, and wishing you much success with a great venture for Eufaula and the State of Alabama.
