Longer adventure

Spend even more time on the water with a longer guided route through Lake Eufaula’s scenic creeks and natural surroundings. This route is perfect for guests wanting a longer paddle experience.

Guided tours are available 7 days a week during summer hours.

Gator Run: 9:00 AM
Alligator Alley: 10:30 AM

Single and tandem kayaks are available for both routes.




Midway Rest Stop

Both guided routes include access to an optional midway stop located at the campgrounds inside Lakepoint State Park. This stop is approximately halfway through the 3-mile tour and just over 4 miles into the 6-mile route. Guests may take a short break, refill water bottles, and use the restroom facilities before continuing their paddle.

If needed, our staff can also arrange pickup from this location for guests who do not wish to complete the remainder of the trip.

What's Included

Guided tours include everything you need for a comfortable paddle through Lake Eufaula and Cowikee Creek. Choose between our 3-mile or 6-mile guided route, then select a single or tandem kayak for your trip.


Tour Options

Kayak Features

·Each kayak includes a dry storage compartment for items you want to help keep protected.

·Kayaks also include a drink or cup holder for easy access on the water.

·A non-dry storage area behind the seat is available for extra gear.





Safety & Gear

Each guest will receive a life jacket fitted by our staff before launch.

Each guest will also receive a paddle with a paddle leash to help prevent losing it on the water.

Before heading out, your guide will go over a safety briefing, trip expectations, and basic paddling information.





Guided Experience

During your tour, your guide will share information about local wildlife, ecology, Lake Eufaula, Cowikee Creek, and other interesting features along the route.

You may request pictures of your tour, group, or yourself while on the water.

Digital photo copies may be purchased at the end of the trip.

What to Expect

Guided kayak tours are designed to be relaxing, scenic, and beginner-friendly while still giving guests the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Lake Eufaula and Cowikee Creek up close. From launch to pickup, our guides help make the trip smooth, educational, and enjoyable.


Before Launch

·Guests will arrive at the Kayak Eufaula Outfitter before departure for check-in, life jacket fitting, and a safety briefing.

·Our guides will go over paddling basics, trip expectations, route information, and answer any questions before heading onto the water.

·The experience is beginner-friendly while still being enjoyable for experienced paddlers.


On the Water

·Guided tours move at a relaxed pace so guests can enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and experience.

·Along the route, you may spot birds, turtles, fish, alligators, and other local wildlife native to the Lake Eufaula area.

·Guests are welcome to paddle, drift, take photos, ask questions, and enjoy nature in a way most people never get the chance to experience.





Your Guide Experience

Our guides are knowledgeable about the local waterways, wildlife, ecology, and history of the Lake Eufaula area.

Throughout the trip, guides help keep the group comfortable and safe while also sharing information about the environment and unique features along the route.

The pace of the tour may vary slightly depending on weather, water conditions, and the comfort level of the group.





Optional Rest Stop

Guided trips include access to an optional stop at the campgrounds of Lakepoint State Park.

This stop is located about halfway through the 3-mile trip and a little over 4 miles into the 6-mile route.

Guests may use this stop to rest, refill water, use the restroom, or request pickup if they do not wish to continue the remainder of the trip.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change.
While we do not offer refunds, we’ll always do our best to work with you and find another option for your trip.

  • Trips may be moved to a different available date.
  • We can keep your trip on file for a future visit.
  • Reservations may be transferred to another guest.
  • If you are running late for an unguided trip, please call us as soon as possible. We should be able to accommodate you and still get you out on the water at a later time.
  • For guided trips, late arrivals will be handled at the discretion of the guide scheduled for that day.

If you forget something, stop by the Kayak Eufaula Outfitter before or after your trip. We may have drinks, snacks, sunscreen, and other helpful items available for purchase at the outfitter store.

Know Before You Go

Guided kayak trips can vary in length depending on the route, weather conditions, paddling pace, wildlife stops, and group size. Please review the following information before arriving for your trip.


Safety Requirements

Participants must be at least 8 years old. Guests under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete the required waiver.

Basic swimming ability is required for all guided kayak trips.

Please notify our staff of any medical conditions or concerns before your trip begins.


What to Bring

Arrive well-rested and hydrated.

Bring any necessary medications with you.

Wear comfortable clothing that can get wet.

Please wear sunscreen, even if you do not think you will need it. Sun exposure on the water can be stronger than expected.




Kayak Fit & Weight Guidelines

For guest safety and comfort during guided trips, kayak fit and weight limits are taken seriously. Single kayaks are generally best suited for guests under 300 lbs. Guests over 300 lbs may be better suited for a tandem kayak depending on fit, balance, and overall comfort.

For safety reasons, guests over 350 lbs may not participate in guided kayak trips. These guidelines help reduce the risk of tipping, instability, or difficulty safely navigating the waterways during the tour.
